Updated iPhone 11 to latest IOS update 18 and Face ID not working.
turned off and on tried to reset face id but it won’t let me do a new id.
video and camera is working so don’t think it’s a camera issue

ive tried everything and it doesnt even want to re do the set up. its so weird because it just randomly stopped working and prompted me for my passcode everytime. never had the issue ever. only about 2 days since ios18 update

Turns out, the problem was with content restrictions. I had content and privacy restrictions enabled, which were blocking Face ID from working properly. Here's how I fixed it:

I have the same Problem here, tried to Hardreset my iPhone12 and reset my FaceID, didnt work either.
Same for me. I updated my 14 Pro Max, and as a result, my Face ID is not working.
Did you find a fix to this? Face ID stopped working on my 13 after the update, too. It won’t allow me to create an alternate, either.

Back up your phone data and reinstall it. :)
No tried everything suggested except factory reset

I have an iphone 14 pro max after updating it 18.0 my both cameras , flash and face id has stopped working. Does anybody knows the problem?

I know this may be an inconvenient fix but may be the solution, and if it’s not very sorry for the inconvenience 😅
Has anyone tried factory resetting their iPhone? I don’t remember if that wipes your apps or anything but I believe if you use iCloud for backup you can restore all your stuff shortly after resetting the phone. Sometimes factory reset is the end all be all tried solution if turning settings/phone off and on again doesn’t work
