Apple ID not active - Request Denied- Authentication Block - Cannot Be Removed

New iPad. Create Apple ID with gmail address (proton mail address did not work) and my iphone number. Works for 1 (one) day. Next day I try to log in. "Apple ID not active" Tried: reset password (no go) then re-activate Apple ID. Wait for one day for email from Apple: "Your request has been denied." Tried to reset iPad but could not log in so no go. Tried another obscure Apple website to remove "authentication block". Had to send in photo of receipt to show purchase of iPad. Sent in photo of receipt. Went to Apple Store: explain to 2 different techs who can do nothing. Apple store tells me to call Apple Support. I call Apple Support: explain to another tech who requests to share iPhone screen. I allow and try everything again. Apple Support says they can do nothing. I now have bricked iPad with "Apple ID not active". Days pass Apple sends email:

authentication block cannot be removed,

suggests I send a photo of receipt which I already sent. I return iPad to where I bought it 3 days ago and abandon the dream of giving my sister an iPad for entertainment, information and facetime with family. She has no Apple devices in her future.

Was going to purchase new iPhone 16 or 16 pro. Now I am looking at Samsung S23.

Will new iphone just be a brick like the iPad, with no help at all from Apple?

Lmao, I just had the same problem after the iOS 18 update. Calling support is useless—they can’t even find your account because I think it’s deleted. What I did was connect my phone to a MacBook in recovery mode and restored it (not updated). You need to know your passcode or you’ll get locked out, as it will ask for the activation lock (iCloud account, and since it doesn’t exist, you can’t log in). After that, connect your phone to an existing Apple ID that works, and voilà! I think this is a new, very annoying bug that should not happen—it literally turns your device into a brick

It’s not a bug. Apple is deactivating and locking the account because they determined the Apple ID has broken Apple‘s terms and conditions of use. In certain circumstances you can request it, be reactivated, but at a certain point, they will deny use of the Apple ID ever again.

If you are using the iCloud Find My security feature That will mean you’ll need to submit proof of ownership to request Apple remove the deactivated Apple ID from the device on their end. If you use recovery mode to restore an iOS device that will cause activation lock to appear as intended because Find My is not off yet.

First of all, there’s conflicting information in your post. Your post says “New iPad” which brings to mind a brand new, factory sealed iPad in an original box from an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Retailer. But your profile lists a ninth generation iPad, which was discontinued by Apple more than four months ago.

Your post suggests some omitted facts regarding the origin of this iPad.
