My iPhone 16 pro max has a delayed response to the touch and it’s also skipped my touch inputs. It’s mostly happening with the keyboard and the back button on top.
I do have a glass screen protector installed but have seen a lot of other people complaining without the screen protector.
It’s a very wide spread problem.

I initially bought the Ailun screen protectors on Amazon, and immediately after the phone was not as responsive, and I figured it’s because my fingers were cold at the time. After a day of use, I removed the protector the the problem went away.
i subsequently bought QHOHQ screen protectors on amazon, and same unresponsive problem.
Then I bought the expensive Zagg protector, while it was better, it still was not up to part and I removed it!

I think 18.1.1 seems fixed that problem. Is it ?
I am still on 18.0.1 as I heard 18.1 is a nightmare on battery life. So waiting for few people to authenticate if 18.1.1 actually solved the touch issues then I shall do it.
not completely fixed. the problems are still there. it sounds like you have a placebo effect.
Maybe you are right. Because I also enter DFU and reflash the image at same time. So, I’m not sure is this fixed by flash rom or just upgrade to 18.1.1
Im on the latest update, its so terrible and annoying so much. i just bought 16 pro max 3 days ago but keyboard and sensitivity is so bad
I have the exact same issue. Mainly the back button at the top and lower screen. (Keyboard area) it’s really frustrating

I too purchased the iPhone 16 pro max and it was extremely pricey. The screen continually freezes. It is so frustrating to have spent this amount of money for a non responsive touchscreen.
Especially the back button or X out buttons in Ads are not working when I tap them. It always takes at least two or three taps.
I’m also having the issue and I just recently got my iPhone 16 pro max this year. And has the recent iOS 18.0.1.
My software is up to date but I’m still experiencing the same problem, especially after installing a screen protector.
