Hi everyone,
Has anyone noticed their 16 pro max battery draining quicker than it should? Got the phone on launch day, under Settings>Battery it mentioned some updates running in the background may affect battery and thermal performance so I waited. Now that the message is gone, I still notice the battery draining quicker than usual.

My phone used to drain battery rapidly even when it was idle, and I couldn’t figure out why. A friend recommended this guide 11 Proven Steps to fix iPhone 16 Pro Max Battery Drain Issue. I followed their tips, turning off few features that I didn’t need to be running in background, especially background apps like the weather and map widgets. Now, I’m seeing a noticeable improvement in my battery life! You should try them aswell.
Same problem, with my 14 Pro I would do a whole day and in the morning before a charge would have about 30% life left. This morning my 16 Pro was down to 9% and looking at the usage, it drained down whilst I was asleep with the Home and Lock the greatest user at 32%. Hopefully it will get better with time.
iPhone 16 Pro Max battery life is TERRIBLE! Drains very fast when I barely use it when I am at work all day.
After the update, my iphone 16 pro max still drains faster than my iphone 14 pro max. What's going on apple?
I have the same issue. Coming from the 13 Pro Max, the 16 Pro battery life is currently a joke.
I took my iPhone 16 Pro off the charger less than an hour ago. I've barely used it because I'm on my computer. The phone is just sitting here next to me and the battery is down to 63%. What in the world is happening? I use my phone a ton for work. My 13 Pro was awesome, so I'm feeling regret. Is anyone from Apple acknowledging this and do they have a plan?
My new IPhone 16 pro is draining the battery so fast. Disappointed. I will give it back and change for another brand. After 12 years on apple, for me it is enough. No apple anymore
2-3 days is normal, a week is broken.
Same here using iPhone 16 pro max my battery left with 50% and only half a day the screen time 5h36m. It’s draining faster than my iPhone 13 Pro max
any one got any resolution to it?
SAME! I'm so frustrated. I'm supposed to turn in my 13, but I'm holding on to it until I see if I can get any improvement. If not, I'll send the 16 back

What’s the usage on your phone that you can last 24hrs for only 50%?

So after a week the battery should be fine?
I'll give an example. I tested how long it would last watching a video. I charged to 100% and it dropped to 51% after over 13h. When it got to 51% I stopped because it was obvious it could last that much more or at least another 10 hours. This is my second similar video attempt, the first one showed the same results, but it was before the last update. Here is a visual:
