APPLE AUTHORIZED SEVICE CENTERS IN UKRAINE REFUSE TO REPLACE BATTERY IN APPLE WATCH

Hello!

Apple's authorized service centers in Ukraine refuse to replace the batteries in the Apple Watches, no matter what model you have. Despite Apple officially selling Apple Watch in Ukraine.

The authorized service centers in Ukraine can replace batteries in MacBooks, iPhones, iPads but not in Apple Watches.

So, if my Apple Watch (officially purchased in Ukraine) need battery replacement the "authorized service centers" can not provide me such a service.

Could you pls explain why? How it could be so?

Why these service centers have "authorized" status if they can not provide a good service to the Apple Watch battery replacement?

The only thing you could do is to throw your Apple Watch to the rubbish bin after the battery is died.

Now I and my friends think not to buy the next Apple Watch because Apple can not provide the good service to them.

They offer a battery service fee, but do not and have never opened the Watch to replace the battery for service. They have always replaced the entire Watch, but will do it at the battery service fee if no other issues are present.

Is there other damages to the Watch?

Is the battery health below 80%?

However, Apple does clearly state Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASP) may have limitations. Legal - Repair Terms and Conditions - Apple

Sorry, nothing much more we can suggest if even Apple Support can't help. You can try an independent service center and see if one of them would replace the battery for you. Search for something like "apple watch battery replacement ukraine" and you should come across at least one. Whether they will perform reliable service I don't know.

I really don't know how to receive the OFFICIAL battery replacement service in Ukraine.

The only way to replace the battery in my Apple Watch is to apply to NON-OFFICIAL service center.

They can do this despite the fact that the official ones don't.

I’ve used non-official Apple services before and been very happy with the service and parts used.

There are many reasons an authorized repair center may not offer service on specific products. This can range from the technicians not being trained in a specific repair procedure to availability of genuine Apple parts to numerous other possibilities.

varjak paw is correct and I think that’s your best path forward.

Apple doesn’t replace the batteries on Apple watches, they replace the whole Watch.

We’re missing some important details from you. What reason did they give for not providing service?

All I can report is that when I brought in (to my local Apple Store) my series 4 for a battery replacement the rep told me I would be sent a new series 4 and that they do not, in fact, replace batteries in watches. My extended AppleCare+ covered the replacement at no charge. This was in July of this year.

They told me that according to Apple's policy, they don't change batteries in the Apple Watch.

But if you will read information on official site (link below) they are practicing battery replacement in Apple Watches for a fee. I am ready to pay for the replacement but they are not ready to provide it.

They can only change my Apple Watch 7 to the same new one for USD 500. More of this I need to give them my old watches.

As you understand, nobody will buy an old model for USD 500 and say goodbye to his own watches.

I think, if they can change my old watches for the same new one with the fresh battery it must cost a maximum of USD 100.

But the problem is that they don't provide such a service on the Ukraine territory. They can replace batteries only in iPhones, iPads, MacBooks.

Apple started officially selling the Apple Watch in Ukraine in 2016.

To date, you have not been able to receive battery replacement service in "authorized" service centers.

It is so weird.

Also, the problem is not connected to the War in Ukraine, as the problem with battery replacement in Apple Watches in Ukraine was also before the war.
