Apple Watch recent update - touch screen not recognizing touch!

I recently updated to the new iOS system for my Apple Watch and it has been a complete nightmare. I never had any issues with slowness, screen freezing, or touch recognition on the screen. Now it seems that any time I try to locate my phone (which I am always using and need to find via my watch multiple times a day), I touch the icon to locate the phone and instead of doing what it’s supposed to do, it brings up some sort of informational list of whether my phone is connected and if focus mode is on. I’m unable to close that screen when I tap the X in the top left corner (it apparently doesn’t recognize my touch) and instead have to tap the crown to go back. Eventually it works, but only when it wants to.

im also having major issues with sending texts/messages to anyone and everyone. The keyboard on the watch is EXTREMELY difficult to work with and backspace never works because any time I attempt to to tap the backspace key, the watch interprets my touch as “send,” and I’m left with sending all sorts of ridiculous replies. I then try to go in and send what I intended, but the same thing happens if I make a spelling error or it’s autocorrected. Every time, I am forced to find my phone and send manually from there. Its ridiculous and messaging on the watch now seems pointless.

LITERALLY EVERY single time I attempt to do a “shut down” on the watch to see if a restart would help, I’m unable to click the icon in the top right corner to do so. I tap everywhere in its vicinity, double tap, tap and hold down longer, but NOTHING WORKS. so I can’t shut it off and turn it back on.

LASTLY, I have noticed slowness going between screens and opening apps on the watch now that I’ve “updated.” Touch isn’t recognized on the face (I have not gotten it wet or dropped it, and there’s no dirt or anything on the screen itself). I absolutely hate this update and am wondering if others are having any of these issues. I have seen many questions related to the control center feature, not none about the specific issues I’m having. Can anyone help? Or at least vent with me so I know I’m not alone? LOL thanks!

Mine is doing the same thing just since the new update. The top section of my screen isn’t reacting to touch and I can’t go backwards in menus or close anything out or dismiss in the top section at all. I did a complete wipe and reinstall and it worked for a day but is back to not sensing touch at the top.
