I am using iPhone 13 and recently I have updated to iOS 18.0. Since that day, maps are showing blank on the car when I connect through the Apple CarPlay, and a message is displayed after a few minutes on the car screen stating the location information is not available. When I start the car immediately maps are turning to blank on the car display.

I know better than to update my phone's IOS before the bugs are worked out! CarPlay worked just fine until I updated to 18.0. Now CarPlay does not work with a cable. Bluetooth connection is fine. It has to be the update.

My problem was solved when i found a cable that worked AND turned off my VPN. I hope this may work for some of you!
When a text message comes through & I am listening to radio it makes the sound for a message but no longer shows it. I have to tap on car play to get the message. Why??

I recently experienced this and learned that not all USB-A to USB-C cables transfer data. I ordered an Anker brand cable from Amazon and it worked like a charm!
