Using iPad as extended display

Hi!

I've just recently bought my iPad Air (M2, 256GB) and MacBook Air (M3 512GB). The both of them works perfectly individually, but I've just tried to connect the iPad to my MacBook as an extended display and the MacBook started lagging (a lot). I'm pretty sure it's not a memory issue because they are quite new, memory usage is no where near half and the MacBook Air has 16GB RAM. I've only opened two safari windows and one excel sheet. Is anyone facing similar issue? Any suggestion to solve this? :'(

A Sidecar connection to an iPad is not as good as a hardware video connection to a real monitor. That said, if you are in some place like an apartment building where you are surrounded by other people using Wi-Fi, you might be encountering wireless interference.

You could also try connecting your Mac and iPad via USB, instead of Wi-Fi, to see if that made any difference.
