This happens randomly. Sometimes the sound for a text will work and other times it won’t. I have to to turn my phone off and back on again for the sound notifications to work again. Then later, the sound will stop working again. I have done all the troubleshooting. And that still does nothing. Hopefully Apple is aware of the bug and will create a fix.

I had the same issue on my iPhone 14Pro running iOS 18.2. Started after going to iOS 18 as far as I can tell. Thank you to those who responded with their conversation from Apple Support. I triple checked all settings and even tried to create a custom focus to no avail.
The solution that worked was the suggestion to go to Settings>Accessibility>Face ID & Attention, and then turn off Attention Aware Features. This finally solved the problem for me.

I have same issue I have an iPhone 14 and it is happening about 3 months but I have same issue with a chime when someone call me chimes don t work neither vibrations sometimes. It happen randomly
I have problems with notifications, they appear on the screen, but there is no sound, and also the cell phone makes a sound that I don't know what it is and nothing appears on the screen.
I have bluetooth still turned off and notifications sound still work randomly

iOS 18.5 fixes it , I get notifications and sounds, before lower updates it’s was broken no notifications and sounds
The answer was in front of faces.. Go to Focus/Do not disturb/Apps/then change from- Alllow notifications from to Silence notifications from. That should do it! All credit to Frog101491! Thanks Bro'😎
