iPhone 16 Pro Battery Draining Quickly

I don't think so. I got my iphone 16 pro about 3.5 months ago and all I could do is praise the battery life. Now, not so much. Apple really needs to fix this.

Personally, my only fix is to keep my phone plugged in as often as possible, so I'm not sucking the life out of my battery.

It’s been 4 days for me, still noticing poor battery. How long would you say it’s safe to wait and when should I take it to apple for a return or exchange? Should I try any of the deactivation stuff and hard reset?

I upgraded from the iPhone 12 Pro Max to the 16 Pro two days ago, and the battery life is absolutely sht! It doesn’t even last as long as my iPhone 12 Pro Max . Get your sht together and release a fix, or just admit the 16 Pro series is a total failure.

I refuse to accept “turning off background apps” as a workaround. These apps are supposed to run in the background!

From what I’ve read, this has been an issue for a long time, and you still haven’t provided any official answers or fixes. Just admit your product is flawed.

By the time I’m writing this post, the battery has dropped from 100% to 37% in 5 hours. This is 2025 not 2005.

As a customer, we paid hard working money to buy this sht, this is unacceptable.

After exactly 5 mins, dropped to 34%!!!

And apparently Samsung phones are flawed and Google phones as well as all the other Android manufactures, as they are all reporting the same problem with the Meta apps. Have you reviewed the links provided on the Google Support site?

I’m really at a loss here. You can see that I have less than 50 min of screen time after being charged to 100%. I have Siri turned off for most of my apps, AI turned off, apps killed when not in use (most of the time today) and I’ve followed that article with the 11 ways to help improve your battery life, and have done hard restarts. What the **** is the problem? Can I just take this to Apple and have it replaced?

You’re not sorting the thread by the oldest so it’s chronological. See my screen shot below.

it’s near the top of each page below the original post or best answer (so far). Switch to oldest and it will make sense and we can chat further. Please post again about your three apps etc. and I’ll get an email and we can look at things. Thanks for posting back.

Will have to remember to do that every time, why anyone would want to see the thread that way I can’t imagine but each to their own.

Oh, and while I have you, when I can’t find something I go to subscriptions and when I click on that, it just takes me to the thread not to my post, almost every other message board I work with takes you to your post.

Things you can click in the subscriptions listing for a thread:

Green goes to that community, blue goes to that thread, yellow to the nickname, red to the latest activity in the thread*, and black is a pop-up with some thread-level controls.

*this can include Apple moderator activity editing the posting or moderator activity in the thread, including deleted replies, and which can mean an old thread or an old post can be (confusingly) shown as more recent.

You can change the default by clicking on your avatar in the upper left, clicking on Preferences and changing the default sort order at the bottom of the page.

yes, thanks I’m familiar with the page and all of that. Here’s what it looks like for me. I don’t see anything above in the other post with different colored things that are linked and I don’t see many of the things that are in yours. I’m using my iPhone.

FINALLY SEE NOW What he was referring to with his picture I couldn’t tell what it was for a long time because of the context of the photo but I see it now, I still can’t believe how impossible it is to go from the link in the email about a post being posted to the actual post in a thread. I have yet to figure that out it never does only goes to the thread.

Could you please specify which additional screenshots you are referring to? I would appreciate it if you could share another image for comparison.

It is important to note that while Android applications can indeed drain the battery, the extent of this issue is not comparable to that of iPhone. My Android phone, with its larger battery capacity, mitigates the battery drain to a lesser extent. Therefore, a direct comparison between the two platforms is not entirely accurate.

Furthermore, the battery drain issues I have described did not manifest during the iOS 18.0 release, as previously mentioned. This suggests that the problem may not be solely attributed to applications.

It is worth mentioning that Apple also has the authority to request developers to rectify their applications. This demonstrates that the relationship between Apple and developers is not one-sided.

For instance, my Facebook application runs smoothly and does not experience any battery drain, even with the background processes you have mentioned. I believe that you may have missed the context of my previous posts.

Are you using the same Social Media apps on the Samsung phone? Users are reporting the same problems with the Samsung phones and ironically the same posts about switching to the iPhone to solve the problem. This includes the flagship Samsung phone and the others as well.
