I'm not getting audio in Safari on my M1 MacBook Air, but it works fine in other browsers. I'm only using the built-in speakers, not Bluetooth devices. Any idea what could be causing this issue?

Maybe you can go to System Preferences -> Sound and make sure the sound is being output through the internal speakers. Also, try disabling any Safari extensions, as they might be causing the problem. You can find this option in Safari by going to Settings -> Extensions.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm embarrassed to have to report this, but the problem was resolved when I installed some OS updates. I'm not sure what changed in the OS that would have caused the problem to occur in the first place, but it is now resolved.
