Not only can you NOT purchase AppleCare for a phone in the US you purchased in Canada, it won't have ANY warranty in the US. iPhone warranty is NOT international and it never has been. Apple can and almost always does limit warranty to the country the phone was purchased.

DON'T buy your iPhone in Canada, if you live in the US.

For the same reason that iPhone Warranty isn't International. AppleCare+ plans aren't International as well.

Be aware that Canadian phones do not have 5g mmWave support like they do in the US. If you plan on using the device in the US, then you should purchase it there to take advantage of all the cellular options available to you.
