Bluetooth connection issues on iPhone 16

just upgrade to the iphone 16 pro and bluetooth is stuttering with any devices, and doesn’t want to connect 90% of the time. Carplay, Garnin, Headphones.

I’ve tried turning off bluetooth, hard reset on the phone and still no luck….

Found the problem, if you guys did choose to setup your iphone from a backup or from your old iphone then you all will get the dame issue, if you did setup as a new iphone then you wouldnt have gotten the bluetooth issue, there is a fix, just go to Settings-General and then scroll down to reset iPhone and then choose Reset network setting, after that phone wil reboot and your Bluetooth will work as it should be!

The device works perfectly with my iPhone 15 and an Android device.

I normally don't need to spend time troubleshooting iPhone's Bluetooth, but have previous year's new iPhone releases generated 12+ pages of forum Bluetooth issues as people try to use their new phones?

Is the iPhone 15 running the same iOS version as the 16?

What did the manufacturer of this device suggest when you hopefully contacted them about your issue? It's more likely an issue with the device, than an issue with your phone.

The device (Anker Soundbuds Curve) works perfectly with everything else I can find - my old iPhone, my wife's phone, my kids' phones, my MacBook.

I doubt there's something magically wrong with the earphones that doesn't affect anything else except for connecting with this new iphone 16 that hundreds of other people are also having problems connecting with.

I cannot connect to my Marshall Middleton speaker. Actually, the iPhone bluetooth says it's connected, and the Marshall app can see my iPhone, but the music continues to play through the iPhone's speakers, while the Marshall app says "no media".

So following all the forget and re-connect options, still nothing.

Apparently, we are once again Beta for immature Apple equipment and/or software.

Disappointing!

PS. My wireless Apple CarPlay is quirky as well, so I am going to resort to a hard connection in the car.

I also tried resetting all settings, no effect. This happens with all Bluetooth speakers, even with AirPods. When I am in a call, it disconnects, the connection comes back after 5 seconds and this happens every 20 seconds then. It also happens with different brand models, tried in a ford and Audi with wireless CarPlay - same issue everywhere. When I connect with a cable everything works fine.

Just transferred my XR to 16+. My Bluetooth items were all gone except car and TV. I could get some headphones to work but not others. Worst was my $2000.00 hearing aids wouldn’t connect.

With most other headsets, I had to reset them to pair as new.

Dug around and found a reset format for the aids:

Go to settings

Accessibility

Hearing Devices

Set up Hearing Aids …I had them reconnect. Then switched to “live listen “and the sound came through my Hearing aids again.

Good afternoon. My case was. I've restored the network settings a few times without success. I did the restore without copying data and to no avail. However, today I tried it again after a while without pairing my iPhone with the car's Bluetooth and it worked. I can listen to music via Spotify and the music doesn't stop. I hope it stays that way.

Have tried multiple ideas for getting new iPhone 16 to find Bluetooth devices. No luck! Please help!

And yet you've listed none of the multiple ideas, so we couldn't possibly guess what you did and what didn't work.

I will ask the most obvious question. What happens when you put the Bluetooth devices in Pairing Mode, per the manufacturers directions? If they aren't in Pairing Mode, you can't pair them to your iPhone.

I have at least a dozen Bluetooth Devices paired with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Each device had to be put in pairing mode, then you open Settings > Bluetooth and if they are in pairing mode, you'll see the device on the bottom of the Bluetooth page in Settings and once you tap it, it will pair.

I found the mentioned solution works: Settings-General-scroll to iPhone and choose Reset Network. The only thing is you have to go to Bluetooth, click on the info icon and choose Forget Device for every bluetooth device. And then you have to go through the process of re-pairing your devices all over again. The amount of time it is minimal compared to the amount of time of satisfaction with having working Bluetooth.
