just upgrade to the iphone 16 pro and bluetooth is stuttering with any devices, and doesn’t want to connect 90% of the time. Carplay, Garnin, Headphones.
I’ve tried turning off bluetooth, hard reset on the phone and still no luck….

Interesting! Are you talking about the "Bringing Devices Together" toggle under "Start Sharing By," at Settings → AirDrop, or was it something else?
I'll have to play with this. (If I recall correctly, iOS 18 added "Tap to Cash," etc., right? Maybe that setting was changed to on by default to support new features like that, when they involve holding two phones together.)
I’m so annoyed with Apple 16 I too have a problem connecting to Bluetooth! ATT is worthless and rude. Very helpful when bought the phone Thursday and now nothing but a lot of hold time! If I reset the phone will I have to reload all my info again? Ridiculous!
I tried the reboot did not work was reading the comments last one was 9-26-24 its 11-27-24 2 months later and apple hasn't fixed the issue .. my phone is 3 days old and has the same issue c'mon apple ...should of kept my Samsung
I’m having similar issue. Phone connects to my Ford sync. But when making a call the sound cuts out for the person in other end. I have tried everything- reset, in connect phone, re-pair - nothing works. Unless I completely disconnect the phone from Bluetooth and use AirPods - so frustrating
I have a Peugeot 207, 2010 reg, and just bought an iphone 16. They can "see" each other, but I can't complete the code pairing on the iphone 16, it's just hanging, and then gives up. Peugeot dealer tells me the car is too old for the phone! Hope there might be a fix, and will watch this space!
I’ve had the issue from day one. I drive truck and I have my headset I use to talk on the phone and my music play through my radio. My 13 never had an issue. Now I’ll be listening to music and go to answer the phone and it’s like it’s not even connected sometimes. Then there’s times it’ll answer the phone and mid sentence it connects to the radio and loses the headset completely. Or it’ll flip back and forth from my headset to my radio. Apple needs to fix this issue or reimburse everyone who’s bought one of these 16s. So far mines nothing but junk. Wish I would have never upgraded.
Nope. In my case, there is same problem continued. I chose a new iPhone setting rather than a backup.
Bluetooth issues are continuing.
I reset the factory twice and the problem is not solved. (24/12/03)
I have the same issue ! I spend so much money on this 16 pro max 1TB and spent 2 weeks talking to apple support as well as I did a device firmware update and still the issue persists. They estimated from the remote diagnostics that it weren’t a hardware problem. So basically I don’t know what else I should do?
Same issue here. Just went from 13 Pro to 16 Pro. New 16 Pro is dropping Bluetooth connection when I walk 15 feet away from my Bluetooth speakers. 13 Pro would keep connection when I was outside of house.
Im concerned this is a hardware issue and Apple won’t be able to fix it.
I just upgraded to the 16 Pro from the 11 on 12/4 and I’ve done all of the recommended steps and have yet to have ANY device be able to connect to Bluetooth. My 11 might’ve been slower but at least it worked. I really regret getting this phone.
i hope both sides of your pillow is cold at night, every traffic light you get to is green, and just all the best things in life. i couldn’t figure out why mine wouldn’t connect or attempt to connect to ANYTHING and this fixed it

I have a lot of Bluetooth devices connected to my iPhone 16 Pro Max without any issues. Maybe if you tell us what issues you're having, what you're trying to pair, how you've tried to pair them, someone might be able to help you.
One example that won't stay connected is the Dual model XGPS160 SkyPro GPS. It connects for only 10 seconds from the Bluetooth settings, then disconnects. None of the previous iPhone models had any problem whatsoever.
Cannot pair M2 with iphone 16. iPhone sees M2, but M2 does not see iPhone. They both see all other devices nearby. So, it seems iPhone 16 does not send out proper signals so it can be seen and paired. Updated to IOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2 with no success.
