What happened to "recents" in photos in ios 18?

And that's not what this forum is for. This is a technical support forum. But I am curious as to why you think it's okay for you to vent your frustration but not okay for me to express my opinions without being insulted.

You are not offering technical support. You are basically telling people that you don’t understand why they feel the way they do, and that other people feel differently. You were trying to convince people not to feel the way they do. That is not why they are here. Look up the definition of the word commiserate.

Again, why is it okay for you to give your opinions and not okay for me to give mine? I'm not trying to convince anyone to feel any way.

I'm sure the cartoon is supposed to mean...something. But, I believe I have made the point and I hope you'll keep it in mind in your future participation in this forum that everyone gets to express their opinion as long as it's within the rules. And the only people entitled to decide what is in the rules and what is not are the Hosts. Calling a civily-expressed opinion "trolling" and telling someone to stop posting doesn't tend to go over very well here.

You don't need to have it showing if you dont' want it. Swipe down to the bottom of the screen, tap on "Customize and Reorder" and untick "Recent Days." See, not so hard.

I was going to use my iPhone 14 Pro exclusively on a planned trip, but I am going to have to go back to a camera. I can't sort my recent photos and videos for transfer to Final Cut Pro etc. This is a really big problem for me. I don't want photos by date or memory or anything else, just recents!

PLEASE tell me they didn't take away the only folder I use consistently. This is appalling. I edit photos all the time and count on the Recents folder to find them! Like literally NEVER EVER EVER EVER am trying to access the timeline dump of photos.

Can someone track down the people that designed this new photo interface and ask them why they thought they knew what they were doing. Did they ask anyone if the liked it, because from what I can tell it’s universally unhelpful.

it’s not in my hidden folder. I can see it in my recently saved …and no my library is not filtered …. but if I try to post it on Instagram or Snapchat , they are not there ???!!! What ???

What pain? I really like the new Photos.

There is good and bad and can be a pain to some.

If you scroll to far one way any filters you have set get removed (for example favorited videos and it just goes back to all of you get to the end).
