Lost my albums in photos , how do find them easily?

It’s simple:

Open Photos. On the top, you will see the photo grid, and on the bottom you will see the collections view.

Scroll down.

You will eventually find your albums under the header “Albums” in small tiles that have a key photo on the left and a title on the right.

Click one to open it.

If you want your Albums at or closer to the top, then scroll to the bottom of the collections view and tap “Customize & Reorder.” You can then reorganize where your collections are and choose the collections you want.

I hope this helps!

After the IOS 18 update my albums went down from 123 (on my iPad which I won’t update until this is sorted out) to 20. So I have lost 103 albums. Although when I searched for art class the album did appear. Any idea how these albums can made to reappear? I won’t remember what a lot of albums are called in order to search for them. Help please!

I have 160,00 photos in 1,300 albums.

‘there is no way to search albums - to go to that album.

I earn a living with these photos.

Your update - is preventing me from doing my job

I just bought a new $2,400 iPad and it is useless to me now

Since, there is no way to find and go to my albums and folders that house my photos.

This is the only suggestion that actually worked. They are still there. But trying to organize them in this new format is awful. I would also like to know why you can't "move" a photo to an album. It just gets copied into the album. So if you try to delete that photo from the huge, main album it deletes that photo everywhere. It would be so much cleaner to move it to the album of you choice and would keep that recent album so much smaller.

Did you read any of the previous posts in this forum that explained Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestions? No, I didn't think so.

Albums are empty! Most of my album names are still there, I only had 20, however the albums are now empty! Apart from 3 of them (which have had more recent photos added to them in the last 12 months). So annoyed 😡, this is the second time this has happened. I only reorganised them again in August for it to happen again! I no longer trust Apple with my photos and am going to try to find alternative back ups.
