Lost my albums in photos , how do find them easily?

It’s simple:

Open Photos. On the top, you will see the photo grid, and on the bottom you will see the collections view.

Scroll down.

You will eventually find your albums under the header “Albums” in small tiles that have a key photo on the left and a title on the right.

Click one to open it.

If you want your Albums at or closer to the top, then scroll to the bottom of the collections view and tap “Customize & Reorder.” You can then reorganize where your collections are and choose the collections you want.

I hope this helps!

How can we switch back to the old album setup? I cannot access any of my older videos, and this new update is a real mess. Please help!

1. Sorting photos has become more complicated.

2. It's difficult to find particular photos.

3. The facial recognition feature is poor; even though the faces look similar, it often fails to identify them correctly, with only one being recognized out of two similar photos.

4. Videos do not play properly or at all, and I have to duplicate them to access them or share them with another phone.

This situation is really frustrating! A true HOT MESS!

When I phoned AppleCare one day last week and explained the situation with this latest update and the fact that every single comment is negative, the representative was unaware of the problem. I don’t believe that anybody at Apple even looks at the comments on this site to see what a disaster this update has been for so many of us. Somehow, we have to get the attention of someone in upper management who has the authority to fix this mess!

What do I have to do to see your response? This was my experience as well and I want a response! Please.

The person to whom you're responded, TulsaGB, is the original poster. A glance through the thread seems to indicate that they have never returned. So, no response to see.

However, there are six pages of responses from other people. I suggest you go to the top of the page, just under the original post on the right side, and change "Sort by" to either "Oldest" or "Newest." That will put the thread in chronological order. You may find it easier to follow the conversation that way.

No, you see, that is exactly what didn't work. If I searched for albums only half of mine with a specific name showed up. Of course my panic was huge. After two days everything was back and sorted and album search yielded the correct result. But those two days; of course I assumed my albums were gone. Why did no one inform about the fact that it might take several days for you to have your photos and albums back after a software update??? Days in which my work was standing still.

How I wish this was true for all of us!! I seem to be relatively lucky that I have only 'lost' about 8 albums and really only one of them was really important. I have checked Albums> and the missing ones are definitely not there, nor in deleted nor anywhere else I can find.

Also why do the photos in the albums which are there appear on the lower part of the screen whilst at the top of the screen the whole album is running one by one a though I've clicked a forward arrow as in pictures on Microsoft. I just want my 'Cards' album to come back and for photos to 'sit still' until I move them.

My albums were created three iPhones ago (about 8-10 years) by syncing my phone to iTunes through my computer. They were stored on the hard drive of my computer in carefully curated folders. The computer died, and I no longer had access to them. This didn’t bother me because I could transfer data from iPhone to iPhone and the photos migrated in the transfer. With this update, all those photos are gone. Who can I contact, and how can I get them back? All my family memories (weddings, funerals, celebrations, etc.) were there.
