Lost my albums in photos , how do find them easily?

It’s simple:

Open Photos. On the top, you will see the photo grid, and on the bottom you will see the collections view.

Scroll down.

You will eventually find your albums under the header “Albums” in small tiles that have a key photo on the left and a title on the right.

Click one to open it.

If you want your Albums at or closer to the top, then scroll to the bottom of the collections view and tap “Customize & Reorder.” You can then reorganize where your collections are and choose the collections you want.

I hope this helps!

I don't usually have issue with regular IOS update or whatsoever and never comment in community. But this update really messes up user experience especially photo album features. Hope Apple team could bring back older format/template for photo album or do similar one again. The update should be user friendly especially for app/features with heavy user usage. I'm baffled by how this has been approved and pushed out publicly when general public prefers the old format.

But if I buy another phone it will not be an Apple because you don’t get 2 bites of it, my programming friends at Apple!

If you have programming friends at Apple, you should speak to them directly. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestions.

I don't care what kind of phone you buy.

What a mess. My 4000 photos went to the deleted folder. I only discovered it by accident after panicking

and I restored the photos. The numbers of hours and over the past years to sort these pics into albums and now all a mess. I’m beyond angry. I’m about ready to leave the Apple ecosystem (monopoly). You’ve made a mess of iPhoto’s over the years and let’s not forget Apple Music mess.

Sadly, nobody at Apple is paying attention to us or this site. If they were, they would have fixed this mess a month and a half ago when they installed iOS 18. I’ve been to the Apple Store a few times and also have called AppleCare to no avail. This was the WORST Apple update ever to which there appears to be no adequate solution to retrieve our albums. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This new Update is an inconvenience.

I find this update to be a significant improvement and have told Apple so using the appropriate channel. So, as of this moment, Apple has heard my opinion but not yours.

I agree. Horrible update for Photos on iPhone. Can still save to albums, but cannot SEE the albums. Very strange that the IOS18 update for my iPad did NOT do this - it's the same as it ever was. Extremely disappointed with Apple and searching for unafiliated apps to take Apple's Photo app's place, which is, in many ways, now UNUSABLE. I couldn't hate this result of an IOS update on my iPhone more.
