Open Photos. On the top, you will see the photo grid, and on the bottom you will see the collections view.
Scroll down.
You will eventually find your albums under the header “Albums” in small tiles that have a key photo on the left and a title on the right.
Click one to open it.
If you want your Albums at or closer to the top, then scroll to the bottom of the collections view and tap “Customize & Reorder.” You can then reorganize where your collections are and choose the collections you want.

This is the worst update ever. My pictures are a hot mess. Please give us the option to go back to the old format!!!! I am so upset right now. Who does your research before hurting the masses?
No! Those are the albums from my MacBook- VERY Different from the ones I had in my phone! Any ideas?
Nope - I am missing at least 6 albums that were there before the update. Tried everything I could find on line - nada. I am beside myself!
All of my photo albums have disappeared after Ios 18 install. Very annoying as about to move house and have saved sll my room schemes in albums. Disappointed to say the least!

Except you can’t move the library and my phone pictures have all been reorganized and mixed in with photos from my pc. I spent hours organizing them how I wanted them and it’s all gone.
Ugh me too. I tried everything. So, happened I haven’t updated my old iPhone . It still has all the albums intact. Of all things that could have been updated . Like, why the photo album 😫🥺😩
How do you make a post on here without just replying? I joined so I could also complain about the photos update… super infuriating

For me- grouping pictures by date when browsing in map was very usefull.
Used it to fill my farms field history later by fields. Now all pictures are together…
No, you can't. I have an album named "curtains", I can see it if I scroll down my hundreds of albums. But in search mode I get: "no albums" USELESS
i found all my albums immediately, it's the search function that doesn't find the albums by name, that's my problem, and it's a big one!!!
