How to move images / videos from Files to the Photos folder on ipad?

I got some videos via We Transfer which have gone into my Files, but I need them to be in Photos in order to edit them in imovie. I can't see how to do this. There are similar questions here with answers that refer to copying and pasting, but when I copy the folder with the videos in & open a new album in Photos there's no option to paste. Please can someone advise? (This would really simple in Windows!). I'm on an ipad mini 6.

iPad mini 6, iPadOS 17

Open the photo in Files. Tap on the sharing icon (box with an arrow coming out the top). Select "Save Photo". That should save it to Photos.

Thanks - that worked! 👍🏼 I still haven't got used to the Apple way of doing things; it's not quite as obvious as Windows 😁

Glad to hear it helped! It's all what you're used to. For those of us who don't use Windows that much, Windows seems weird and non-obvious. And please, do not get me started on the Chromebook my tech-averse brother has that he wants me to troubleshoot remotely.
