iPhone 13 Pro (Verizon Certified Pre-Owned) battery health dropped by 9% in 4 months

When I got the phone, it was at 100% health. Im currently at 91%, it dropped from 92% a few days ago. When it hit 92%, it had only been at 93% for like 3 weeks. it's just dropping really rapidly and I'm worried because I won't be able to replace the battery for awhile.

Although some of the info provided isn’t quite correct ( for example, Apple will service a “refurbished”/ certified Pre-Owned iPhone sold from Verizon) the advice to contact Verizon about this concern is correct. Contacting Apple will do you no good as the battery health percentage is not under 80% and will ultimately be deemed to have no issue regardless of how fast the battery health percentage appears to be dropping. Verizon may very well not assist you either since again, the battery has yet to meet the criteria to be deemed a problem. Also, the phone only came with 90 days warranty from Verizon…if you have had it for 4 months you are outside of that which would mean you would be told to go to Apple which again will go back to Apple deeming the battery fine as it is still within the healthy battery health percentage.

As for the why your battery health may have dropped quicker than expected….it is pre-owned. Even when Apple does a battery replacement it is only guaranteed for 90 days or the remainder of the manufacturer warranty period or AppleCare+ coverage….so with the 90 day warranty that Verizon offers even if the battery was replaced when it was originally refurbished you still would be past that period at this point. Battery health percentage in general is more stressful for people that monitor it *** closely as you are than not as the percentage is not in real time (long explanation about that has been posted on this forum often). You asked if you should be worried…no although in purchasing a refurbished device you should realistically be aware that you may have battery issues that you may be responsible for quicker than you would if you had purchased a brand new device.

I'm not inquiring anything about service. I just mentioned that it was purchased from there in case that had anything to do with it. I just wanna know why it could be degrading so fast, if I should be worried, etc.

Also, with all due respect, your statement isn't correct. Apple will service any iPhone no matter where it came from, as long as it's, well, an iPhone, and under warranty or Apple Care. I'm speaking from experience - I had my camera replaced due to dust/debris under the lens, and they did it no questions asked.
