Old 15 plus erased?

I bought new 16 plus used quick start to transfer data from 15plus.

including e sim.

want to make sure 15 plus is completely erased including e sim.

can i turn on 15 plus and check to make sure that it is? Or will this restart the 15 plus and put back all information if it is erased?

Turn it on. If it displays a Hello screen it has been erased.
