WiFi not connecting after iOS 18 update

Today I updated to 18.0.1 on my devices, Apple Watch, IPhone and IPad.

I no longer have an internet connection on my iPad.

I would like some help here.

I think apple are now finished for me - iPad and Iphone cannot connect to wifi after 18.0.1, MacBook not maintaining a charge

apple software is officially dud, worse than a PC and I thought I would never say that

too much rush for cash and not enough testing

I was having the same issues and I turned off "Private Wi-Fi Address" and "Limit IP Address Tracking" under the connected wifi details. That seems to fix the issue

Pretty sure there is a bug in ios 18. I’m seeing a lot of talk of this issue on other forums, unifi, microtik, etc all blaming a router issue when its Apple’s software.

I am experiencing the same problem. All other apparatus requiring WiFi connectivity is working fine, security systems, Alexa, Android tablets so it is not a router issue it is an iOS issue on my iPhone 15. When will it be resolved as it could compromise security and safety

Been talking to Apple Support about this problem. Even they don’t know how to fix this.

1. Tried to reset to factory settings
2. Reinstall iOS using Macbook
3. Changing WiFi settings

none worked.

We found out that WiFi connection works with 5gHz band routers, but not with 2.4gHz band routers. Most routers are still 2.4gHz.

I went today to an Apple Store to run a diagnostics, and I’m waiting for a feedback.

As promised, I’m back to report on my visit to the Apple Store regarding the WiFi issues I’ve been experiencing since the iOS 18 update.

The staff at the store pinpointed the issue to incompatible certificates and VPN profiles that were blocking WiFi traffic.

A NordVPN certificate was causing interference, even when the VPN was not active.

Their recommendation was to delete the problematic certificate, reinstall NordVPN, and adjust settings to trust all WiFi networks.

After following these steps, my WiFi connection was instantly restored.

For those who are facing similar connectivity problems, checking for outdated certificates or conflicting VPN profiles could be the key to solving your issue.

I have the same issue with my 15ProMax. It was working fine until I updated to IOS18.0.1. Immediately afterwards my phone turned into a piece of junk. Carplay apps won't operate properly. Phone won't give me decent connection to wifi, at home or away. Apps load slow to none. I spent an hour with support and they can't help. Want me to spend more time today.

I have updated network settings and reset all to factory default. Still stuttering

After Updating My Iphone XR to IOS 18 My wifi Stooped working, It doesn’t turn on and it also doesn’t turn off same thing happened with my personal Hotspot I have tried different measures to stop this like resetting Network settings even resetting all settings but nothing changed.I really need a solution to this problem As soon as possible.Thank you.

Same issue here as well. What didn't work for me: 1. adding the IP addresses 2. tried the "Private Wi-Fi Address" and "Limit IP Address Tracking"

What worked in my case: I went to "VPN & Device Management" and deleted all irrelevant VPN. As soon as I deleted the VPN, I immediately got reconnected to the wifi.

That doesn’t make any sense, alot of people have battery health below 80% and their phone works well, So you telling me all of a sudden I updated to the Ios 18 and the wifi stopped working Is because of an aging battery.Thats A lie, I hope Apple fixes the issue soon hopefully there will be a software update soon that fixes wifi issues.

Additional information. I followed @charlesf's suggestion. It worked for a couple of days but then the problem reocurred. I contacted my VPN service provider (NordVPN) and they told me to do the following:

Set the NordVPN DNS server addresses (only if using Wi-Fi):

• Open the Settings app;
• Tap on Wi-Fi. If it's switched off, turn it on;
• Pick a Wi-Fi network and tap on the blue “i” icon;
• Tap Configure DNS and select Manual;
• Tap Add Server and add these DNS addresses:
• 
  
• 103.86.96.100
• 103.86.99.100

As soon as I added these two additional DNS addresses it fixed my problem. So , anyone who has NordVPN installed on their iOS device, feel free to follow this or the other troubleshooting steps suggested by NordVPN on their website. Please see link below:

How to fix your NordVPN iOS connection

None of the 6 apple devices in my home connect to wifi since updating. iPads are on 17.6.1 and iPhones are on 18.0.1. I’ve tried the suggestions listed here and they didn’t fix anything. How am I supposed to work if these devices don’t connect?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 18.0.1, Wi-Fi connects, no LAN and internet access, and I've tried all the suggested fixes (reset network, AP set to 5GHz [only], private Wi-Fi address off, limit IP address tracking off).

If I turn Wi-Fi off and then back on, I'll have internet access for less than 60 secs (Wi-Fi symbol showing on the iPhone, and I can see the WAN traffic on my router for my iPhone's IP address), but it soon stops (and stays stopped) until I turn Wi-Fi off and then back on again.
