I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I’m running 17.7. Are there issues with iOS 18 that might delay updating? Should I wait until a patch comes out or is it safe now? My biggest concern is the handset hearing up and battery drain.

Do you work for apple? Your post is pointless. I and everyone I know has glitches, phone locks up, wifi stops, if change wallpaper any changes to home screen gone. Terrible update and forums like this are to help people explain this and they are not alone in issues and maybe then apple will listen and do updates quickly. If no one reports problems then everything is presumed ok.
Issues with emails not being retrieved from server. Apple is well aware of this and sent ios 18.1 to rectify Mail App bugs, but it made the issue worse. Now emails can’t be retrieved or sent, even on wifi. Customer service has no answers. Uninstalling email accounts or the Mail App itself doesn’t not work and causes more problems.
I have an iPhone 15 and after iOS 18.00 and 18.01 after the torch application where you can make the beam thinner and more intense it does not work at all. Meaning the gesture right left in the torch does nothing
I’m having very similar problems with the calendar and repeating events ….if I move the repeating event forward let’s say 4 weeks to November for some bizarre reason it also makes copies of this event for June, July, August and September this year
I showed this to an apple support person and they said
“maybe it’s taking time for iOS 18 updates to filter through”
my thought maybe there’s a bug that apple need to fix
I couldn’t figure out why i am having so many sudden issues with my iPhone 12 pro and realized after deleting a ton of stuff bc it claimed i didn’t have enough storage to update that once it updated to 18, my phone has had countless issues including the fact that my battery is not charging and draining immediately! The pic app has changed and hard to edit. My phone is going into private mode. I can’t easily find my passwords etc Please help! How do i fix this mess? My phone is on the verge of dying and won’t charge now. I’m not buying a new iphone!

I have iOS 18.1 it has lots of issues my iPhones always buffering especially gps I have 3 different apps they all buffer Apple Maps the worse movie apps phone glitches Apple Music issues camera issues
My phone keeps freezing, I can't use apps, My 0 button doesn't work, and this is not good in case of emergency or being a freelancer...The 18 update slowed my phone down, it won't hold charge, overheating, freezing, and buttons unusable, seriously wth?!
I am in 18.0.1 ****. I have a variety of issues. Cannot send pictures through text, the alerts on my earphones are so loud. I’m playing music and I get a text message. It is like at 10 times the volume of the music. Things just are not stable in a variety of the apps.

go into setting and turn off battery optimization; problem eliminated. Since it is meant to extend your battery's life, I hope you won't come back to complain that your battery needs replaced sooner than expected.

updated to 18.0.1 and now Car Play is useless in my Nissan. Maps / Waze offline. Safari, YouTube music you name it, nothing works now.

I have had issues sending messages to androids. I’ll press send, it won’t and it’ll ask to try again or send as an SMS. Its more annoying than a real problem.
I updated 13 pro to 18.0.1, I go to the camera, the camera makes strange sounds... Everything was fine on iOS 17. Is there such a problem?
18.1.0 my calendar has multiple problems. Too many colours now.
events duplicating and Tripling on the same day and onwards. Now able to delete or edit events at all.
