Are there any known issues with the iOS 18 Update?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I’m running 17.7. Are there issues with iOS 18 that might delay updating? Should I wait until a patch comes out or is it safe now? My biggest concern is the handset hearing up and battery drain.

I'm trying to evacuate Clearwater from Hurricane Milton and I just updated last night hoping it could help after hearing everyone tell the people that said it made their phones crash. Well let me tell you. I have spent 10 hours trying to communicate with family and people and almost smashed my 15 pro max because its like playing Call of Duty on an Atari 2600. this is the worst thing ever. I am not kidding. Do NOT even attempt if you are possibly concerned about being unable to send a simple text. I would have so much more to say about this but I came on here praying I could find out how to uninstall because all I can find is how to uninstall the beta. Now I might as well be without a phone because anyone that has expereinced this knows how frustrating this is.

OMG! It’s the worst. Apps close out. Phone gets hot. Can’t hold a charge. Photos redesign is not customizable like before. I can’t have WiFi and data on at same time. EVERYTHING takes forever to load…like dialup slow. Touch screen is delayed and really unresponsive at times. Entire operating system freezes so you’re stuck on a page or something and you can’t swipe out of it or get it to load or respond to touchscreen! Glitches so much it’s annoying 😤

I feel like this update failure is targeted towards older iPhones. Mine is 2020 iPhone 11 Pro. Touch screen freezes up. Screen will turn black and you can’t get it to come back. Emails and messages aren’t showing up as sent or disappear entirely.

Honestly, this update made me buy a new iPhone 16 Pro. I think it’s Apple’s goal to keep consumers buying. Doesn’t matter that Mac’s are quality built. If people keep the same iPhone for 5 years, what better way to make sales than to make older models have issues so they’ll feel it’s necessary to replace it and upgrade. The update on my 2017 iPad cause programs to crash daily 🙄 The touch screen isn’t as responsive. Lots of issues staying connected to WiFi networks. I’m so annoyed 😒

I’m so trapped in with Apple. I’ve only ever used Apple. All my data, photos, music, documents, and everything, means I’m in too deep to get out. The amount of time and work it’d take to make all of that PC android compatible is ridiculous.

I couldn’t figure out why i am having so many sudden issues with my iPhone 12 pro and realized after deleting a ton of stuff bc it claimed i didn’t have enough storage to update that once it updated to 18, my phone has had countless issues including the fact that my battery is not charging and draining immediately! The pic app has changed and hard to edit. My phone is going into private mode. I can’t easily find my passwords etc Please help! How do i fix this mess? My phone is on the verge of dying and won’t charge now. I’m not buying a new iphone!
