iphone 16 pro max search function in files app not working

I transferred my data from my iphone 14 pro max to my iphone 16 pro max. Both are updated to ios 18. In the files app, when I try to search for any keyword or just a tag, no results show up. When I go to that file without searching, the file is there along with the tag. All my files seemed to have transferred I just can't search for them, with or without a tag. And yes, I turned my phone off and on. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Search function on Notes not working properly after Iphone change. I have searched for possible answers and done all the suggested troubleshooting but no luck. I do have the storage to accommodate two way syncing as I bought add’l storage. Trying to work on the road copying and moving between devices. Add’l assistance would be helpful. Thank you
