OS 13.7 update no longer sends smart list emails

I've cured it now.

I created a new list and deleted the old.

Oddly, when I renamed the list the same as the old one it had the same problem.

When I called it a different name all is fine.

So, thanks for your interest but I'll call it a day now!

I restarted and just the same.

BUT I control-clicked a different smart list and that was fine - the To field was populated.

So there must be something wrong with the original list.

Odd since it has always worked before.

I will try recreating it.

No - I just Control-clicked (Right-clicked) on the smart list and selected Send email to ...

I did try dragging the Smart list to the To field but it wouldn't 'land' and fill the field.

What I haven't tried yet is a post-update restart to see if it solves the problem. I'll try that next.
