Apple TV AirPlay constantly disconnects

I have an Apple TV where around every 1-5 minutes it disconnects from the internet then reconnects. This gets really frustrating as I do a lot of Screen Mirroring. I have hooked it up to ethernet and that works, but my Apple TV is not located close to a Wall Ethernet port. However I have an AP that is close to the device that should be getting it a good connection. It is not wifi related as other devices do not drop connection in that area.
