Shared Notes! Eek - no idea how it happened!

I shared a " Note " without knowing and 100% it was not meant to be for my Mum & Dad (even though I am well and truly and adult).

I just went into my Notes on Macbook Pro and saw "shared notes" I have shared 3 notes, absolutely unbeknown to me. I have notes synced with my Iphone and Mac, but definitely have never, intentionally shared notes.

How does this happen and how do I disable sharing automatically? Would love some instructions on how to stop this happening please. Thank goodness I didn't say anything saucy!

Also, I have turned off share for the "Notes" I did share, but is there a way to ensure that the recipients can't read it?

Thank you.

Definitely inadvertently. I was wondering if there was possibly some kind of "notes" thing that encouraged sharing if you mention someone in your note and you also have their contact as exactly that? aka Dad&Mum

Don't worry, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I really was shocked that I had shared notes to 3 different contacts.
