Unable to receive or make calls from iPhone post iOS 18 update

AT & T had me turn off WiFi calling in settings and make sure cellular calling on --this FIXED the problem for me--

Genius Bar and 2 tech calls and 2 total resets that did NOTHING TO HELP

I have upgraded to 18.3.2 and i am not facing call failed issue from last 3 days. The issue was previously solved even in 18.3 but after upgrading to 18.3.1 the problem started again. Looks like 18.3.2 solved and i will not upgrade anymore.

Have this problem as well, we all do. On a whim I turned Cellular Data off. Was able to make over a dozen calls without a single drop and call quality was much improved as a result. On AT&T set Cellular data to LTE and Low Data mode and enabled WiFi calling as well this throttle Cellular Data down routing wore over WiFi calling.

Try and share if it works for you!

If it does for enough people maybe Apple will take notice and fix it

Check the thread yesterday the answer was posted to a factory reset on your phone, but do not back up from the iCloud. I don’t remember all the details but look through the threads and you’ll see the answer. There’s a glitch with iCloud. I’m pretty confident that is the issue.

Many community members have had their issue resolved by contacting their cellular service provider. It may not be your solution, but if you haven’t reached out to your provider, I’d contact them. I know AT&T resolved my issue.

Have you contacted the support team at your cellular service provider? If so, what did they say?

I have iPhone 15 pro Max and having the same dropped call issue since i updated to iOS 18. Outgoing calls if i can make any. My voice drops out after 2-5 minutes and unable to reconnect. I have spent a lot time with Verizon tech and a Verizon store. Have tried all the suggested tips, multiple times. My wife has a 15 pro max also and after update to 18 her phone has the same problems now. I have very few bars at home but the phones worked fine until the update. So not just an older phone. Our carrier is Verizon!

I called Apple support- tried for at least an hour checking/testing my phone. Then asked me to call my network carrier. After hours of dealing with them we now know it is the Apple IOS recent updates!!! I have an iPhone 15

Dear All… i have found one hack in this .. when you are getting “Cal Failed “ continuously, just connect your AirPods or any Bluetooth device .. it won’t happened after that . It worked for me

Restart the phone and try. It worked for me

Post 18.4 update everything is working fine now. No more call failed on 13. Apple should work on better upgrades not worst.

Some people are reporting that going to the carrier’s location or calling their support team they were able to resolve the issue.

Some people are talking about WhatsApp and some have received help from WhatsApp support team.

Have you read any of the previous comments there’s a users that have an iPhone 16 Pro Max that are having the same issue. It has nothing to do with upgrading. It’s an Apple software issue that has not been addressed.Please read first

I have been in talking terms with apple support, they are asking me to do a "enhanced logging session" , which I did a couple of times but it the bug didnt show up in their logs. They have asked me to do it one last time and im going to try that.

Btw I have reinstalled my OS, did multiple resets. Its definitely an ios bug.
