Waze & CarPlay

I have a brand new 2024 car and iOS 17.6.1. I use Waze for directions when I need them, but it automatically runs when I connect to CarPlay. How do I get it to only run when I’m using Waze? My iphone settings already say to only use Location Services when I’m using Waze.

How do I fix this I have relinked the phone to the car several times. The CarPlay icon shows on the car screen. It will not share the content when I tap the icon.

Toyota Rav-4 CarPlay issues with car location in all map apps I have a 2024 Rav-4 that I connect to my I-phone 14 Pro running IOS 18.1 using CarPlay. Everything works well except for Waze, Google maps, and any other location app. These apps position my car miles away and provide directions that are totally incorrect for where I am. The car’s native navigation system works fine. I have taken the car into Toyota twice to get it fixed, but they can’t find any problem with the Toyota. My phone works well in directions when it’s not connected to the Toyota. I have precise location turned on in the apps. This problem has gotten me lost and almost into accidents. Does anyone have any help out there?

Carplay doesn't work in iphone 15 Pro Max Carplay is not activated on my Toyota Rav4 Hybrid XLE automatically when I connect my iphone via USB or Bluetooth. Charging working, Music app working fine but I cannot see CarPlay icon in the display of my car. I cannot use Google Maps as I did in my previous iphone 11. Please help !

I see the same thing. This issue was also raised some time ago, but it looks like it wasn't addressed.
