how to contact a person to whose apple id airpods are connected

If the AirPods have not been configured by the owner to provide contact info when found, you cannot.

Apple won’t identify the owner.

Turn them into local police or the lost and found for the area where they were found.

You’re replying in a thread about somebody that took a set of AirPods on an international trip, cannot return to the country where those AirPods were found, and wants Apple to disclose contact info. (Apple won’t disclose that info.)

For your case of lost AirPods, see the previously-linked article for what is available. Using that info, you can set a message with contact info for the finder with what is linked there, if you wish.

Doesn’t matter if you found them on the moon, and had to switch your return flight and de-orbit in an entirely different spacecraft.

Apple isn’t going to identify the owner, and isn’t going to unlock them for you.
