Some Results May Not Appear in iOS 18 Mail

Apple needs to fix this NOW. RIP Steve Jobs rolling in his grave on this one. Major UI fail!!

I hate that. What is the point of being able to check your email on a cell phone if the mail only downloads when the device is home, locked, and charging?

I’m getting the same warning. Where is an apple rep to comment on this issue

my older emails are inaccessible and I just get this message when I’m at home and on WiFi but how am I suppose to search when phone is locked?

Mail downloads and organizes messages when iPhone is locked, charging, and connected to Wi-Fi.

This post 24.11.24 (australian time), 6 weeks at least since this thread started, and no response from Apple. Our collective inability to do such a basic thing is clearly not bothering them too much...

Dear Apple- the inability to search through my mail is a huge issue for me- Please fix this or Android is my next purchase. You are messing with my business now.

Apple really screwed up with this one. Why limit my private communications instead of letting me have full access to that? You should never have control over those areas. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Currently going through this same exact thing. And it’s beyond frustrating! What is the point of being able to “check” my emails on my phone if the **** phone picks and chooses what emails it wants to show me? Ridiculous!! I gotta say all these stupid “updates” are really making me consider making the switch to android because this is ridiculous as eff! So frustrating

ugh!! My phone just updated to iOS 18 the other night so I am having the same issue. I can’t access any older emails which I used to do all the time…!!

And having this happen around the holidays makes it difficult to track gifts and packages….. REALLY annoying.

My iPhone is on the current system and is locked, charging and connected to my home WiFi all night, every night, as I plug it in next to the bed.

But a search for emails always produces very limited results, to the extent that if I am out, or in a meeting, i will make excuses about 'not having filed my mails properly'. How embarrassing.

When will Apple fix this longstanding problem?

(Please don't tell me to 're-start my phone, upgrade the OS, or report this on the Apple support site' as I've done all this, many, many times over the last few years. It seems to me that giving that kind of advice is just a cheap way for some people to increase their Support Points score without having to use their brain...)

This wasn’t a fix on mine, unfortunately. It’s not an organizing thing so I didn’t have great expectations on that working but at this point I’ll try almost anything. It just doesn’t display all emails when searching. If I have 137 emails from John Doe and I search for them, only 23 may show up.

Chiming in to say I have the same issue and its really unacceptable
