Connecting to apple carplay

Is anybody else having trouble connecting their phone to Apple CarPlay after updating to iOS 18. I’ve tried resetting the settings in my car and in my phone and then reconnecting, but still nothing. It lets me connect to my car. Bluetooth just fine but when I use the USB port to plug my phone in, it starts charging my phone, but not connecting me to my CarPlay. I have a 2018 Chevy equinox

Try this:

  1. Go into your iPhones settings and turn off everything related to CarPlay and restart the iPhone.
  2. Do a factory reset on your car's screen.
  3. Go back to the iPhone and reactivate CarPlay.
  4. Back to the car's CarPlay set-up menu: When prompted, select Forget This Device.
  5. Then, re-sync your iPhone to CarPlay.
