Deleted calendar entries from a repeating event reappear

I delete and they keep reappearing as soon as I delete them. If I delete one (this event only) and go to delete another, the first reappears. For example, this means I can no longer make a single entry with all the details, repeat it, and edit the time of individual entries. It negates the usefulness of the calendar as a scheduling tool. It’s happening on my iPhone IOS 17.7 and iPad, and it just started this problem. Please help!

Calendar entries missing after iOS 26 update Updated to iOS 26 last night. All my calendar entries except a random few disappeared. I’ve tried several recovery strategies, but no luck. Is anyone having this serious issue? Tried restoring from iCloud and re-sync, no good [Edited by Moderator]
