Updated to iOS 18.0.1 this morning in hopes that they fixed the touch screen issue. Although it has reduced the occurrences, it is still missing taps / swipes. Remains to be a large inconvenience.
Currently on an iPhone 16 pro max. Debating on switching everything back over to my iPhone 12 at this point.

Don’t think you’d be in the clear. I’ve had my 15 pro max since launch and I’m having the exact same problem.

After being a loyal iPhone owner I am going to try to get a full refund on my horrible buggy unresponsive screen iPhone 16 Pro Max and try an android phone.
Facing the same prob on my 12 Pro Max. it misses taps frequently, i am so annoyed! but we should be grateful since people has literally dead touch screen

I too had similar issues. Got replaced once. But problem there is second device also.
Dont know to get rid off.
