How to prevent my iPhone from unlocking in my pocket?

When you close your iphone you can put your iPhone upside down in your pocket and does not open. But if you put it in normal position it will open in your pocket. Is that an offical feature? You can not find any verification in Apples Help Desk.

If you routinely carry your iPhone in your pants pocket, you need to turn off Tap To Wake.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Turn off Tap to Wake

This will mean that going forward to wake your phone, you'll need to tap the power button. But there are unintentional touches from carrying a phone in your pocket. For example many people have locked themselves out of their phones by unintentionally tapping the wrong passcode too many times.
