Sending my Apple Watch to trade-in

I'm sending my apple watch to trade in. Recieved my packaging to send it back yesterday with zero instruction!! The included label is royal mail, can I just post it or do I need to get scanned at post office?? Thanks

Apple Watch trade in box was delivered damaged from Fedex How can I request a replacement Apple Watch trade-in box. The package was delivered by FedEx soaking wet and fell apart as soon as I tried to open it.
