How to backup my iPadpro exactly as same as now, like using Time Machine in MacOS, furthermore if possible, into a headless external storage?

Q1) How to backup my iPadpro exactly as same as now, like using Time Machine in MacOS,

Q2) furthermore if possible, into a headless external storage?

The purpose is, just in case I found suspicious symptoms on the iPadpro, to get back to (my personal default) CLEAN AND SAFE customed TOTAL settings of every app and System, including the customed groups of apps on the wallscreen and customed widgets so on, like using Time Machine in MacOS.

I've already read Backup methods for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.

But the webpage says

A backup from a computer doesn't include:
Content from App Stores

So, what I can't get are that...

  1. Why not contents from App Stores? Then I can't restore the all customed settings of each app.
  2. Why only to operatable computers, not to a headless external storage? (Plz let's not talk about iCloud, I've already excluded it from my options, based on my own criteria)

Plz my respectful advisors, share your skillful experiences in IT field to the beginner of Apple.

Thanks in advance...

iPad Pro, iPadOS 18

This support page outlines the natively supported backup methods for iPad and iPhone:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Native iOS/iPadOS backup and restore processes are dependent upon iCloud, or connection to either Windows PC (with iTunes for Windows installed - or more recent Apple Devices App) or a Mac computer (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS).

Natively supported methods offer full system backup - consisting of data, device configuration/settings and App settings.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Your device backup will include a record of installed Apps (and all associated App data) but does not backup the installed Apps themselves. When you restore the backup, the record of installed Apps is used to automatically re-download and re-install the Apps from the App Store. This strategy minimises the storage space required for the device backup.

Using the natively supported backup methods will ensure that your device and stored data can be faithfully restored should it be necessary.

NB: For iOS/iPadOS devices, it is possible to use a third-party App to backup data (but not device/App settings or installed Apps) to a variety of external storage options - including third-party Cloud services, external media devices and network storage. One App that comes readily to mind is FileBrowser Professional by Stratospherix:

You would be well advised to review the extensive online Manual and help files to determine suitability for your needs.
