An Excel file is no longer opening. When I look at the path it has been filed as follows:
Macintosh HD>Users>myname>Library>Mobile Documents>Trash
I am unable to find the Mobile Documents folder under Library.
Any help is appreciated.

be sure you are using this string in
Finder > Go menu > Go To Folder:
~Library/MobileDocuments
the tilde[~] is an active abbreviation for "current user" that is honored by the file system
the Trash or .Trash folder there may be marked invisible.

Try “Open Recent”
Opening Excel, what happens when you go to File menu > Open Recent. Is this file seen? Is it openable?
