How do you turn off Live Photo. I need to do it every time I take a photo. It never stays off. 14Pro 18.0.1

Do you have Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings > Live Photos set to On or Off?
"On" means to keep it off if you set it off (or keep it on if you set it on).
"Off" means that the camera will keep turning it back on.
Yes, that may seem backwards.
Yes, you still have to turn Live Photos off one more time afterwards, but I should stick then.
