Pairing new apple devices for 3 months of free Apple Music (as it said i could do on the official apple website)

I just bought this M3 Macbook Air less than a month ago. I'm told here, https://offers.applemusic.apple/new-device-offer#redeem, that with the purchase of this new device (which is supposedly supported) that i can redeem for 3 months of free Apple Music (it was brought back to 3 months). I'm told to pair/connect it to my iphone, but when i do so, the mac isn't supported, as it says on multiple other discussions. How do I do this? i'm connected to the latest macOS sequoia and iOS 18

The "pairing" part is only applicable if you bought AirPods, HomePods or Beats Headphones or speakers. It is not supported not required on a Mac.

You can redeem the offer directly in the Music App on the Mac, and it should then be available on any other device that is signed in to the same Apple ID as the Mac.

If you redeemed the one month free trial with the iPhone, then you are not eligible for an another free trial.

If you have never redeemed a free trial before, then the 2 months should appear in the Home Tab of the Music app of the recently purchased device.

If still does not appear, then contact Apple Support directly for help at https://getsupport.apple.com
