Different email ID on pop up purchase and app update
I suddenly find a different email ID (not mine someone else’s) associated with app downloads, purchases and even app updates on my IPhone. This seems fishy can someone help?

Not sure what exactly you mean by "associated." When exactly are you seeing this?
If they are old apps you are trying to update, they were downloaded by another account signed into the deveice. The device was not properly erased before being given to you. Delete those apps and download them with your account.
Alternatively, if you lent your device to a friend, they may have signed into Settings > Media & Purchase with their account. Sign in with yours instead.
