VIX subscription cancellation didnt take place...

Back on July 14 2024 I mistakenly subscribed in my phone to Vix and that was around 5pm... I got busy.. didnt realize this.. until the following morning July 15.. and I called Vix they said to let apple know.. so I requested a refund on July 15 to apple... and I thought that was taken care of... I have been sick here and there so I had not checked my online account... and now I am checking and the cancellation never took place and they charged me $49.99 - I have never used this service and the service itself is useless it is a bunch of old spanish movies... from I what I checked last time...

so... how do I get Apple to refund me this... ??

Requesting a refund and actually canceling a subscription are 2 different things. In general, you are required to cancel the subscription yourself before Apple will even entertain a refund. Apple will not cancel a subscription for you at all. That is something you must do yourself.

Also, charges made by Apple never specify on your payment method what they are for. They only appear as "apple.com/bill". If the charge appears as being for Vix directly, then you subscribed with them , and Apple has nothing to do with it. As such, you would need to cancel it through the Vix website directly.

Vix was mistaken. Apple will not cancel it for you. You need to cancel it yourself.


They will refund you if you ask for it though after you have canceled it, but they will not cancel it.


Again, please, follow the steps in the support document to find and cancel the subscription first.

When I called vix they said you have to ask apple to cancel and refund you... so I went to that site.. and it showed vix subscription there active so I asked for cancellation and refund... but didnt follow up I thought that that was going to take care of it.. but I guess it never did...


and yes, vix appears as an active subscription.. it seems they the app and apple play a ping pong game with customers I suppose... not sure if I will ever get my refund.. so.....
