Siri won’t tell me the current UV index, opens up an empty UV index health page instead

Like the previous commenter, I used to be able to say “Hey Siri what’s the current UV Index?” And if I ask my HomePod it will tell me. If I ask my phone it says something to the effect of “You can find that information in the Health app” and then opens up a page with an empty chart. Sometimes there’s a point of data but it’s never correct. Right now the UV is 1 it says that it’s 5.

Someone had mentioned if you say “Siri health UV index” it will give you the information which it does but that’s ridiculous. No one talks like that.

Why did it change? And what can we do to get it to go back to a more natural language question and answer system?

As someone with a heart transplant and who is far more susceptible to getting cancer from the sun, this is an important feature for me.

Try saying “What’s the UV index for today” or “What’s the weather UV index”.

If this doesn’t work, Siri might be recommending the health app because you use it frequently. Try going into settings > Siri > Delete Siri & Dictation History.

Note that this change will make Siri forget everything that it learned. Most people are cool with that and don’t frequently use Siri suggestions.

1) You shouldn't have to figure out some secret sentence structure to ask a simple question - especially since it has worked since literally the first time you could request that info

2) I rarely use the heath app. I had a heart transplant and it kinda doesn't have what I need!

3) There is NO way I am erasing years of Siri learning. It's already bad enough without having to start from scratch!
