Safari will not open Amazon.com due to "Server unexpectedly dropped the connection."

I've never had this issue before yesterday. I can temporarily regain access to amazon by deleting all history (which also forces me to log into all of my gmail and other accounts, which is a huge pain), but after one or two searches, I encounter the problem again.

It makes Amazon unusable. I do not encounter the problem on any other website. It has been occurring for more than 24 hours.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.1

Please review If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac - Apple Support.

Since it is only affecting one website, it is possible the cause is beyond your ability to control. If it does not resolve itself I'd contact Amazon. They're probably eager to sell you stuff.

also getting same error today. Amazon opens fine on Chrome on same computer, but won't load in Safari. closed and relaunched Safari, closed and opened tab with Amazon and still won't load into Safari (I have all latest updates for my OS and Safari. using M2 Macbook Air
