I am wating to purchase an apple watch for my 10 year son so i can contact him through the watch. He doesnt phone a phone but i have an apple phone and an apple watch myself. How do i set it up so he has his own phone number so we can message each other without him having an iphone? or does he need an iphone? thank you

You can set up the watch via Family Setup. After buying the watch, enter the Watch app and select Add Watch. Press Set up for a family member and follow the instructions.
