Canon MG2500 series printer driver for iMac M1 2021

Does anyone know if Canon or Apple will support printing from iMac M1 2021 to Canon MG 2500 series inkjet printer? Most recent printer driver available from Canon is not compatible with my new MacOS 15.0.1 (24A348)

iMac 24″, macOS 15.0

Also, the latest available MG2500 series CUPS Printer Driver at Canon's US (PIXMA MG2520) support site appears to be Ver. 16.80.0.0 (Mac) for macOS 14 Ventura.

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-mg2520 (DOWNLOADS -> Software & Drivers -> 1. Operating System Mac -> 2. Version macOS Sonoma v14 -> 3. Software and Driver Results)

Sometimes, a printer driver can be used with a newer operating system as well (without being specifically supported). However, this would be entirely experimental, and and may not work at all with your printer. If a USB printer connection does not work, it may be worth testing a wireless connection to a Wi-Fi router instead. As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.

By the way, for some reason, Sequoia 15 is marked with a green tick under PRODUCT INFO -> Operating System Compatibility -> macOS X (on the above support page) for a PIXMA MG2520.

apple never support printers or other hardware that are not made by them, they get drivers from the hardware manufacturers and include them in macOS, if the drivers are ready when they release a macOS version, if not one needs to download the drivers from the manufacturers, if the manufacturers choose not to support newer macOS versions and stop releasing drivers for their hardware one stop being able to use that piece of hardware if one update macOS

seems canon only support macOS 10.15 (Catalina) for that model

MG2500 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 16.40.1.0 (Mac) (th.canon)

but there are shareware printing drivers where I assume people reverse engineer the drivers and enable to get their printer working you can check it out
