Howdy! So recently I got back into Sonic, so I tried to download the mobile port off the App Store, the Cloud download image turned into the loading icon, flickered away and then reappeared as the download icon. I have plenty of storage, my connection is fine, so what’s up with it?
Some of Apple's systems, particularly those that are involved with subscriptions, are having problems. This may be affecting the App Store in general though no such issues are mentioned on Apple's system status page (at least the last time I looked). I'd suggest just waiting and trying again in a few hours.

It's difficult to guess without full details, but have you confirmed that the current version of Sonic is compatible with your model of iPhone and version of iOS?
I’m getting the same behavior for several different apps (both new and previously downloaded) on both an iPad and iPhone.
I also noticed that Purchase History in the App Store simply returns a Cannot Connect message, but the rest of the App Store functionality seems in tact.
Yeah, I just had to wait, thanks for the in-depth explanation, I know that stuff isn’t too important when it’s just a simple fix but I think it’s neat to get all the behind the scenes stuff
