Usage of a MacBook with 2 users

Hello, I’m using a MacBook Air m2

my dad brought himself a MacBook Pro m1 that I would like to use with him.

Ive set a user for me as well on his MacBook.

but I have hard time setting everything for my user, is it possible to migrate everything from my existing MacBook Air to my profile on his pro? While not damaging his user content.

I have also Time Machine backup but I guess it will rewrite the whole system - something I can’t do cuz he has work stuff on his user

You can use Migration Assistant from the Time Machine backup of your Mac to his. That will migrate your Mac to a specific account on his Mac, not overwrite everything. Best to delete your account on his Mac and let Migration Assistant handle it. Run it on his Mac from Applications > Utilities.
