Replacing Logic Board on 2019 MacBook Pro 15″

Unfortunately the logic board on my 2019 MacBook Pro 15″ stopped working about a year ago. I was quoted about $1000 to fix it. I think in 2019 I paid close to $4000 for the computer. I have been ok without a personal laptop for the last year but decided it’s time to either get a new one or fix the logic board on my old one. Is it worth it to spend the $1000 to fix it, or should I spend about $1200 and get a new MacBook Air? Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Personally I don't recommend repairing any of the Apple USB-C Intel Macs for a number of reasons. The Logic Boards on the 2019 models have a much higher failure rate than any previous models, but there are other reasons as well. The money spent on repairs is better put towards a new laptop. The M-series Macs are the future. The Intel Macs won't be receiving new updated apps in the near future (no one knows when yet, but it won't be long) so that $1,000 repair may not give you too many more years of use for this laptop.
